eBay Store Redesign

Monday, December 17th, 2007

We updated the design of our eBay Store just in time for the final christmas shopping season. Since our old store design didn’t leave a big impression, this move was overdue.

You can visit our eBay store here. We’d also like to hear how you like our store’s new look.

GarageSale 3.4 Released

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

We just released GarageSale 3.4, a highly recommended update for all users already running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (but there is no reason to skip this update for Tiger users, either).

GarageSale 3.4 add support eBay’s new ‘Community Driven’ item specifics system, which lets you add your own attributes to your listing instead of having to stick with the ones eBay’s old system presented you (Manual Link).

We also added to ability to specify deposit settings per auction when selling cars on eBay Motors US. ( Manual Link).

This version also fixes a serious issue with Mac OS X Leopard and GarageSale’s scheduler.

For a complete list of changes, please see GarageSale’s version history.

Again, this update is free no matter where and when you got your GarageSale license. More information is available from the GarageSale website.

Compatibility Warning: GarageSale and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

We just identified a serious issue with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and GarageSale’s auction
scheduling feature. This issue affects all GarageSale versions prior to today’s GarageSale 3.4
beta 4 release.

When an event is due, GarageSale will post the event’s first auction multiple times to eBay.

Leopard users, who wish to use GarageSale’s auction scheduler, should download
GarageSale 3.4 beta 4 from this link.

Design Pack 24 adds eight new auction designs to GarageSale

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Please start your copy of GarageSale to download the newest additions to our ever growing collection of sophisticated auction designs. Design Pack #24 brings you eight new auction designs, which you can preview here. By popular request we also updated three existing designs with layouts that won’t include images in the item description.

Just in time for your Halloween auctions comes our ‘Spooky’ auction design for GarageSale. As a service to our arachnophobic users we made the spider optional. You can turn them off by selecting one of the “No spiders” layouts.

Those of you who sell vintage and antique items might be delighted to see the ‘Vintage Collage’ design included:

All new designs can be previewed here. You can download these new designs through GarageSale’s built-in Design Template Manager.

GarageBuy 1.1 Released

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

We just released version 1.1 of GarageBuy, our free application for searching, finding, and buying stuff easily on eBay with your Mac. 😉
The new version improves application performance and adds some nifty features to the user interface. Let me take a minute to highlight three of the interface changes for version 1.1:

We added a third viewing mode for found auctions. It shows one auction image and the current bid. The color of of the price tag tells you whether you are the highest bidder on this item (green) or not (red).
A progress bar is displayed right under the title of each watched auction, telling you how much time is left until the auction finishes.
When selecting an item, you can now slide through the auction’s images. We like the new way much more, than the thumbnail based approach of version 1.0.

More information and the download link can be found on the GarageBuy homepage.
