GarageSale 2.0.2 Released

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

GarageSale 2.0.2 is out. This version was held back a little because we had to wait for eBay to update some of it’s international servers. There were some incompatibilities between GarageSale 2 and an earlier version of the eBay server software, which prevented auctions with URL based images to be uploaded. The new release fixes this issue.
The new version also ships with six new design templates and fixes problems with the GarageSale widget. More info is available on the GarageSale homepage.

GarageSale 2.1 Announced

Thursday, January 12th, 2006

At our booth #948 at MacWorld SF you can get a first impression of GarageSale 2.1. New features included a built-in auction scheduler. That means you don’t need to schedule your auctions with iCal and AppleScript anymore.
Another feature we are going to demonstrate to you is our shipping service integration, which allows you to print labels for the leading US shipping carriers and schedule pickups at your doorsteps to other day right from inside GarageSale.
If you show up at our booth, don’t forget us to ask about the GarageSale show special.
And yes, since this has been such a hot topic recently, the upgrade to version 2.1 will be free, too.

GarageSale 2 Released

Thursday, January 12th, 2006

At MacWorld San Francisco the vendor of your favorite eBay application for the mac (I’m talking about us ;) released GarageSale 2. GarageSale 2 is a free upgrade for all existing customers.
GarageSale 2 is one of the first desktop clients to use eBay’s new interface (also called the ‘New Unified XML’ schema by eBay). eBay is going to pull the plug on the old interface most other eBay tools and older versions of GarageSale use in June 2006.That means you should download and start working with the new version before that date. GarageSale 2 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 so you should find ways to update your mac to at least his version of the OS until June.
GarageSale 2 is compiled as a universal binary. That means it will run natively with full speed on the new Macs with Intel processors.
Will also added the ability to revise your auction using GarageSale and now integrate with eBay’s ‘My Messages’ system.
