GarageSale 5.1 supports new listing durations and return policy details

GarageSale 5.1 is now available for download.

This release supports the new fixed price item durations (30 Days and ‘Good Til Canceled’) eBay recently introduced.

GarageSale 5.1 lets you specify your return policy in the new more detailed format soon to be required by eBay for all items.

We also included the ‘International Site Visibility’ listing upgrade, which makes your item appear in similar categories on other eBay sites. Please see the official documentation for more information about this feature.

For a complete list of what’s new please check out the GarageSale version history.

GarageSale 5.1 is a free update for users of GarageSale 4 or 5. Updates from older version are available at the Kagi store starting at $14.99.

GarageBuy 1.5 displays item specifics

We just released GarageBuy 1.5, an important update to our software for finding and purchasing eBay items from your Mac.

This new release downloads and displays item specifics (a.k.a item attributes) even when the application is configured to not show the item webpage. Combined with “image scrubbing” in image view mode (see animation below) you can find exactly what you are looking for even more quickly.

GarageBuy Touch users on the iPhone will be pleased to hear that GarageBuy 1.5 learned to move watched auctions to the user’s ‘My eBay’ from where GarageBuy Touch on the iPhone can pick them up.

If you find it too time consuming to stay on top of your eBay searches, give GarageBuy a try. It’s a free download.

Help fighting cancer – buy our software at the price you want.

Seth Dillingham is doing it again. He is running his anual Mac software fund raising for the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge

Here is how it works: From a variety of well-known Mac software titles you select the ones you like and send Seth to amount you want to pay for them. If he accepts, you donate that amount to PMC and Seth will send you the licenses in return.

We at iwascoding donated 5 licenses for GarageSale (Family Pack),  5 licenses for GaragePay, and 5 licenses for GarageSale Basic. You better hurry if up – licenses are moving fast.

Temporary eBay failure effects our applications

It seems that eBay has accidentally changed our developer account on their system, which is effecting all our eBay related applications.

Since about 10:00 GMT none of our applications is able to post requests to the eBay Server.
Instead you will see the following error message:

Your application has exceeded usage limit on this call. Please make call to GetAPIAccess Rules to check your call usage.

We hope that the problem is fixed around 20:00 GMT at the latest. We will update this blog entry with any news on this issue.

Update: We were just informed by eBay’s developer support team that the issue has been resolved.

GaragePay 1.1 available for download

GaragePay 1.1 is now available for you to download.

Version 1.1 now downloads and displays name and price of PayPal shopping cart items.

GaragePay’s transaction download process is now performed in the background, so you can keep working with the application while importing new data from the PayPal mothership.

We also greatly improved GaragePay’s customizable CSV export so you can export your PayPal data in the format you need.
