Talk:Shipping Options

Hello, I would like to create a multiple item auction, but when I try to post my auction after setting my shipping preferences to 'calculated items' and having the “Additional Items” value to $1.00 I get the following error message 'You specified inconsistent Shipping parameters: <AdditionalShippingCosts[1.0]> and <ShippingType>=ACTUAL_RATE'. The auction can be posted succesfully only if I uncheck the 'additional Items' option or when I leave the 'additional items' checked but uncheck the 'calculated items' box.

Why can I not offer Combined Shipping discounts?

Can anyone tell me why I cannot offer "Combined Shipping" discounts?

In the Shipping Options Panel (under Domestic Shipping) there is a check-boxed option for offering Combined Shipping Discounts, but that option is "grayed out" and cannot be checked. Can anyone tell me why, or what I can do to change that?

I have combined shipping rules set up on eBay and would love to be able to apply them through GarageSale. The way things are now, I have to go to each individual auction through the actual eBay site and revise the listing to get the discount to show up. I do have it written out in my item descriptions, but you know how it is, people are often lazy and it would be helpful to have it posted near the top also (i.e.- what eBay does when you check the "offer combined shipping" option on their listing creation page).

It's not the end of the world to have to go in and revise each listing, but it is tedious. And honestly, avoiding as much tedium as possible is why I bought this software in the first place. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out on this. Thanks in advance.
