eBay loves GarageBuy!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Honouring what we have achieved with GarageBuy in the past year, eBay has named us ‘Runner Up’ in the ‘Early Adaptor’ category of this year’s Star Developer Award. The announcement was made at the kick-off keynote at eBay’s anual developer conference. eBay’s developer blog has the transcript.

GarageBuy 1.3 is out

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

GarageBuy’s latest incarnation allows you to restrict your eBay search to a certain price range. We also tried to squeeze out a little more performance, so your search results are appearing sooner.

We’d love to demonstrate GarageBuy 1.3 to you in person, so if you are in San Francisco be sure to drop by our MacWorld booth S-2544.

More information can be found on the GarageBuy homepage.

If you like to see what other GarageBuy users have to say, please take a look at this review (and nope, we really didn’t pay this guy).

GarageBuy 1.2 Released

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

GarageBuy (our free application for searching and buying stuff on eBay) has been updated to version 1.2.
We are now using a different way to retrieve simple search results from eBay. This change not only makes searching faster, it also removes the need to authorize GarageBuy for your eBay account. For more sophisticated searches and for bidding on items you still need to authorize GarageBuy, though.

GarageBuy now also supports proximity searches around your ZIP code and lets send auctions to your friends by e-mail easily.

More information can be found on the GarageBuy page.

GarageBuy 1.1 Released

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

We just released version 1.1 of GarageBuy, our free application for searching, finding, and buying stuff easily on eBay with your Mac. 😉
The new version improves application performance and adds some nifty features to the user interface. Let me take a minute to highlight three of the interface changes for version 1.1:

We added a third viewing mode for found auctions. It shows one auction image and the current bid. The color of of the price tag tells you whether you are the highest bidder on this item (green) or not (red).
A progress bar is displayed right under the title of each watched auction, telling you how much time is left until the auction finishes.
When selecting an item, you can now slide through the auction’s images. We like the new way much more, than the thumbnail based approach of version 1.0.

More information and the download link can be found on the GarageBuy homepage.
